Dr. McLaughlin Keynotes at Notre Dame

Dr McLaughlin at Notre Dame Wrestling

Hundreds of coaches, athletic directors and educators gathered at the University of Notre Dame on June 22-24, 2012, to attend a weekend conference on youth sports safety.

The three day conference was called, "Play like a Champion Today Champion Character in Sport Conference", (PLACT), and was thought up by F. Clark Power, Ph.D., the program's director, who is a Developmental Psychologist and a professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Notre Dame.

We're proud to inform our friends and patients that one of the keynote speakers was our own Dr. Mark McLaughlin. As many of you know, Dr. McLaughlin has a unique background and insight into concussions, as a former NCAA Division One athlete, as a coach, and a leading neurosurgeon. See Dr. McLaughlin's biography.

You can learn more about the conference as reported on NBC Channel 16 in Notre Dame, and on ABC Channel 57 from South Bend, Indiana.
